Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the Sankalp Patra (election manifesto) of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today. The manifesto charts the vision for a Viksit Bharat of 2047. PM Modi said, "The Sankalp Patra aims to fulfil the aspirations of 140 crore Indians." The manifesto aims to empower the youth and women. The BJP has also promised to extend the benefits of Ayushman Bharat Yojana to senior citizens over the age of 70, additional three crore houses for the poor. The BJP has also promised to bring the Uniform Civil Code (UCC). The BJP manifesto is aimed at making the country self-reliant.
