The Angelus is a traditional Catholic Prayer. This Marian devotion is normally recited 3 times per day (6am, noon and 6pm); however it can be said at any time of the day.

The Angelus is usually accompanied by the Angelus Bell, which served as a call to prayer as well as to spread goodwill.

Behold the handmaid of the Lord,
Be it done unto me according to your Word.

Hail Mary…

Pray for us, O holy Mother of God,
That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
