A brief introduction to the fundamental principles of explainable artificial intelligence (XAI).

XAI seeks to explain the way that AI systems work. But AI systems can be complex, and it's not always clear what XAI should be focusing on.

To help with this, the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has developed four explainable AI principles that XAI should adopt.

This video introduces these four principles.

The four principles aim to promote the safe and effective use of AI systems as these systems become more important in our everyday lives.
