U Zapolju kod Nove Gradiške vozač (31) mercedesa zbog neprilagođene brzine izgubio je nadzor nad vozilom i pri velikoj brzini sletio s ceste u odvodni kanal, udario u betonski kolni ulaz, potom pokosio drvenu banderu i ogradu obiteljske kuće. Neslužbeno, vozio je 150 km/h. Poginuo je na licu mjesta.
