In this video, watch the moment a pod of orcas (killer whales) attack and try to sink a boat off the coast of Spain! Today's video focusses on the newly released footage of this encounter and the story from boat Captain Dan Kriz. Kriz has had his vessel attacked by orcas TWICE, once back in 2020 (one of the first known orca attacks on a boat) and another time just a few weeks ago.
He gives some interesting insight into the orcas attack strategy and ability to learn. New evidence shows that the orcas now have a specific, coordinated attack strategy for boats. We also have new info on why the orcas are attacking, even though marina scientists still believe it originates from Gladis Blanca.
