David Burkus on why you shouldn't hire for culture fit. It may sound like a good idea, hire for the candidate who fits the existing company culture. But hiring for cultural fit usually just ensures you end up with a lack of diversity over time. Instead, hire for candidates who you can respectfully disagree with. Those people will push back on the usual ideas and submit new ones that increase diversity of thought.
