New York State Police are investigating a fatal accident that happened on the Thruway Wednesday morning. State Police said the fatal accident happened just before 5:40 a.m. in a work zone in the westbound lanes of I-90 between Exit 48 (Batavia) and Exit 48A (Pembroke).
