STORYLINE:
The Korean Peninsula Energy Development Organisation (KEDO) executive board met in New York on Thursday to discuss its future strategy for the project to build two light-water nuclear reactors in North Korea.
The project was frozen in December 2003 following the stalemate over North Korea's nuclear weapons programme.
KEDO spokesman, Roland Tricot, said in a statement to reporters after the meeting that "suspension means that the project is fully suspended, in the sense that resumption or any other outcome could be dealt with by KEDO".
