Tai-o is a small village of fishermen who live on stilts, in living conditions, to say the least, incredible: very small space.. A very fragile microcosm, which seems frozen in the 50s and which gave me the impression of having counted the hours. Tai-o is in fact on the island of Lantau, which is only 20 minutes by subway from Hong Kong. The contrast, as you can imagine, is shocking, but it's very fascinating. Lantau is relaxing and interesting. A cable car, that offer a panoramic view of the island, takes you to The Great Buddha and the Po Lin Monastery. The statue is 34 metres tall and you have to climb 268 steps to reach the Buddha.
Filmed with Sony a65 and Sony HDR-AS30 in 720p.
