30 de Noviembre del año 1982, tal día como hoy, el señor Michael Jackson nos traía el que sería ( y es ) el mejor disco musical de todos los tiempos. Con el título de THRILLER, éste perfecto disco ha conseguido batir todos los records posibles hasta el día de hoy con más de 110 millones de copias vendidas en todo el mundo y con la friolera de más 33 veces Diamante por la RIAA además de sus ocho premios Grammy en la edición de 1984. Grabado en el Westlake Recording Studios de Los Angeles con la aportación en la producción de Q. Jones, siete de sus nueve canciones fueron lanzadas como sencillos, entrando todos ellos en los diez primeros en las listas de Estados Unidos.
El álbum contiene sonidos Post-disco , R&B, Pop, Funk y Rock siendo las estrellas protagonistas Wanna Be Startin' Somethin', Billie Jean, Beat It, Human Nature o la mismisima Thriller y con grandes intervenciones como el grupo Toto, Vincent Price, Eddie Van Halen, Paul McCartney o Rod Temperton entre otros.
Si ya Michael dio un golpe sobre la mesa en el planeta tierra con ésta obra, lo que vendría más tarde con el Billie Jean de la Motown 25 y el vídeo musical de la canción Thriller ( entre otros grandes momentos ) harían que definitivamente Michael J. Jackson fuera desde entonces y para siempre en el legendario Rey del Pop.
Thriller a su vez, dispone de su SPECIAL EDITON del 2001 ( en la que se incluye el tema de la soundtrack de ET, Someone In The Dark o la grabación demo casera de Billie Jean ) y también cuenta con la edición del 25 aniversario ( con duetos con Will.I.Am, Fergie y Akon ) haciendo aún más abultada las ventas históricas de éste álbum.
Thriller es el disco perfecto que aún hoy día sigue teniendo la marca del disco más vendido en todo el planeta ( aunque la prensa quiera decir lo contrario... ) .
