The 2025 Kia EV5 is an exciting fully electric mid-sized SUV that’s set to compete with the likes of the Tesla Model Y and other electric SUVs. Here are some cool features that make it stand out:
Mini EV9 Design: The EV5 shares its boxy appearance, high roof, sleek front, and sharp interior design with the larger seven-seat EV9 SUV. Despite being smaller, the EV5 still offers a spacious interior and practicality similar to the bigger SUVs in its class, such as the Kia Sportage, Toyota RAV4, and Mazda CX-5.
Romantic Front Bench Seat: Yes, you read that right! The EV5 offers a unique alternative with what can only be described as a front bench seat. The front passenger seat extends over to the (separate) driver’s seat, creating a cozy space for two people. Kia emphasizes that it’s not a middle seat, but when parked, there’s nothing stopping two people from getting closer together.
EV Motor, Power, and Performance:
We’re expecting the EV5 to be built on the same E-GMP system that the EV9 and the EV6 have. Which means we’re likely to see something like a 76.1 kW battery with single and dual motor options that churn out roughly 215 hp.
The other good news is that we’re expecting it to include Kia’s fast-charging 800-volt electrical architecture, which might even evolve by the time the EV5 is available for purchase.
Keep an eye out for the 2025 Kia EV5—it’s shaping up to be an interesting addition to the electric SUV market!
