With the win, the Panthers swept the Hurricanes and move on to the Stanley Cup Final for the second time in franchise history and first time since 1996.
On Wednesday, Matthew Tkachuk scored with 4.9 seconds left — his second goal of the game — to give the Panthers the lead back and the victory. He ended up with three game-winning goals in the four wins against Carolina.
Florida also got 36 saves from Sergei Bobrovsky as well as goals from Anthony Duclair and Ryan Lomberg in the win.
The Panthers will play either Vegas or Dallas in the 2023 Stanley Cup Final starting next week.
