How safe is laser hair removal?
Is it really permanent, if not how long does it last then?
What does laser hair removal feel like, is it painful, if so how much does it hurt?
Is laser hair removal safe to do while pregnant and is it safe to do it on your bikini area and private parts?
Maybe you've heard it only works for some people's hair? Is it safe for dark skin and can it cause cancer?
Iv personally have had it done and now offer it as a treatment for clients, with that in mind, let's find out just how safe it really is and if it's right for you!
So laser hair removal works by sending the light of a laser through the pigment in the hair which is known as melanin.
The energy from the light then converts to heat which then damages the hair follicle which prevents further hair growth from happening.
The magic in this science and biology is that we are able to target and heat the hair follicle with minimum effect on surrounding tissue within the skin. Therefore not heating the skin as much itself. This is why it is important that you don’t wax or pluck your hair before treatment, because if there is no hair there I.e.. the hair gets pulled out from the root, there is no way for the laser light to treat that hair follicle.
