It's been quite literally MONTHS since we last updated all of you on this Lincoln MVIII project, you've undoubtedly seen it in the background in video after video from us. Well guess what, it's finally time for a MAJOR update on this thing! Welcome back to the 1995 Lincoln MKVIII Nightmare project!

To catch you all up on this saga, some semi brief history. In the summer of last year our customer fired up his trusty Hot Rod Lincoln and noticed a sound he didn't like. It was a front and sound, seemingly under the timing cover. Due to the age of the car and the possibility it was a timing set needing replaced he reached out to us to see if we could take it on. Unfortunately the timing couldn't have been worse and we were buried in long term projects so he tapped a local Ford dealership to do the work.

Calling one of the local shops they verified their ability and familiarity with the 4.6 DOHC 32 valve Ford and were willing to take on the timing job. This is where the story gets odd and ugly. After a couple of weeks waiting on the job to start, he got a call that he "Needed a motor". Which was odd. The car had driven just fine, and driven into the shop. So we agreed to take the project on and pulled the car from that location bringing it down to ours and ... well you can see all of that in the previous videos in our playlist here.

So as you pick up this story we already have the donor motor for this car ready to go, it's a low mile "ran when pulled" unit out of a 1996 Mustang Cobra, a very similar beast to the one that came out of this car originally. We've overcome a number of challenges to get to this point but it's finally FINALLY time to put some power to this thing, turn the key, and see what happens.
