SheBeKeke likes to turn her poems into songs. Her latest release, Ephemera is an attempt to capture those fleeting moments that float away then form the female experience. Inspired by a collection of her poems, SheBeKeke has collaborated with producer, Tom Leah and riveting cellist and vocalist, Abel Selaocoe, to explore her shifting femininity. I Am Phem.
Previous works, Moonwhile and Abecedarian, showcase a mixture poetry and sound. Not all words can live on the page. Someone called her sound “gospel folk” once but she isn’t too sure if she agrees.
Mr Scruff said this about Ephemera; ‘Been listening to this non-stop. I was blown away by Keisha's recent 'Lunar' performance & book, and it is great to hear some recorded work springing from Manchester's long established and internationally respected spoken word scene. Keisha & Werkha work really well together, and I love the intimacy and subtle wordplay on these tracks. Top choices for me are 'Count' & 'Curse of I' (check the video for that one too), but you really need to dive into the whole thing. Favourite track: Count.’

Why is SoundON different to other live performance platforms?
SoundON is a visual feast combined with broadcast quality live sound
Collaborating with each artist we create a unique space for them to perform in
A new YouTube based music community starts here!
How does it work?
We offer an artist 30 minutes of performance time to use as they wish
We will have regular video releases from upcoming artists, launching each Friday - come and talk to other music fans! This provides artists with a place for them to grow an audience, and for their existing audience to join in with our community and find new artists
How are we doing this?
