SUMMARY
Surah Al - Buruj begins with a few important oaths and continues with an indication to the People of the Ditches of Fire or ‘Ukhdud.’ Although it is not known exactly which group of people in history this refers to, the Quran goes on to describe the reason why these people were burning the believers, i.e. their belief. The verses then describe the punishment that awaits the groups who torture the believers and deny God. The chapter ends with a brief description of the Quran
