Boris Johnson admitted the UK does not have enough testing capacity during a Commons liaison meeting on Wednesday, but he says capacity will be up to 500,000 tests per day by the end of October.
The prime minister added people should only seek tests when they have symptoms and the government will shortly set out the criteria that will decide who gets priority for testing
