Although he’s a general surgery resident, Dr. John Farag spent his two years of professional development time in a basic science lab with Cardiothoracic Surgeon Dr. Yasuhiro Shudo. After spending his first year fabricating vascular organoids to prevent ischemic heart failure progression, he moved onto developing a novel organ preservation solution.
