Major Richard 'Dick' Winters was the leader of the famous Easy Company (Band of Brothers) of the 101st Airborne Division in World War 2. This video is about the leadership skills that Dick Winters exhibited from training in the US to D day and until the end of WWII and how to be a good leader like him.
We'll go over the 5 leadership skills he used to lead his Band of Brothers to victory, plus the examples of his leadership:
• Lead from the front
• Be humble
• Get disciplined
• Stand up for yourself
• Make time for self-reflection
At the end of the video, I'll go over how I applied Dick Winters' leadership skills when I was a leader in manufacturing. I have since been promoted and don't have direct subordinates, but the same rules can be applied to peers and superiors.
Which of these leadership techniques will you try out first? Will you start by getting more disciplined or will you practice self-reflection every day? Let me know in the comments!
