Should you take that loan? Do you know what to consider? In this video, Justin answers the question - what is the difference between good debt and bad debt. Most articles and publications will simply give a list of things that are considered good debt and things that are considered bad debt, but I believe this is a bit short sighted. There’s a lot of nuance to what should be considered good debt and bad debt and in this video, I talk about them in detail. First I give some good rules of thumb to understand what good debt is, what bad debt is, why there’s a lot of gray areas, and finally, several examples of good debt, bad debt, and a quick discussion about some of the in-between items that don’t really fit either category. It is incredibly important to consider your net worth, your income, interest rates on debt, interest capability in the stock market, debt terms and durations, and what else you could do with your money in terms of investments in rental properties, investment properties, small business investments, and others.
