(25 Mar 2015) A Detroit-area man pulled from his car and repeatedly punched by police during a traffic stop in Inkster blames "bad cops" and wants to see them in jail.
Fifty-seven-year-old Floyd Dent told reporters that he was protecting himself from being beaten and choked when he was arrested in January.
He spoke Wednesday at his lawyer's office in Novi. Lawyer Greg Rohl says Dent suffered broken ribs, blood on his brain and other injuries.
Video of Dent's bloody arrest was aired by TV station WDIV. More than 50 people protested outside the Inkster police department earlier Wednesday and demanded that two officers be fired.
Police Chief Vicki Yost says the incident is being investigated by Michigan State Police.
