Part of a series of bespoke video installations were provided by BES member Ed Hall, founder of MacroPro Photography.
Eds work features the exquisite detailing of invertebrates such as this Death's-head Hawkmoth (Acherontia atropos). Through animating his composite macro photography consisting of thousands of individual images of a single specimen, Ed’s work highlights the value of digitising museum collections to protect them for future research.
Ed Hall: "I work with museums and educational institutions, using modern technological solutions to improve the digital preservation and educational accessibility of important natural history collections".
