🌿 Understanding Kapha Dosha: Energizing Your Life
Feeling sluggish or stuck? It might be a sign of high Kapha, which is characterized by earth and water elements. Signs of an unbalanced Kapha include:
1. Frequently tired or sluggish: Feeling a general sense of lethargy or inertia.
2. Excessive Eating: Particularly craving for sweets and fatty foods.
3. Resistance to Change: Preferring routine to the extent of stagnation.
4. Lack of Motivation: Struggle to get motivated and tend to procrastinate
5. Physical Heaviness: Gaining weight easily and struggling to lose it.
If this feels like you, your Kapha might be out of balance.
All you need to do is gently move that stagnant energy.
Here are some revitalising practices to rebalance your Kapha:
1. Stimulating Activities: Engage in more vigorous exercises like bike riding, jogging, and dynamic yoga movements
2. Warm Foods: Eat warm, spicy foods and favour bitter, astringent, and pungent tastes.
3. Regular Meal Times: Avoid snacking and stick to regular, balanced meals.
4. Declutter: Regularly clear your physical and emotional space.
5. Wake Up Early: Start your day with a burst of energy, avoiding the snooze button.
6. Socialise: Get out more and engage with your community.
7. Embrace New Experiences: Challenge yourself to try new activities regularly.
8. Most importantly, movement is key. Find activities that you enjoy that will help move that heavy energy and don't be afraid to shake things up from time to time.
