OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry) hosted Portland's first mini Maker Faire. One of the highlights was this 22-foot-tall trebuchet with 360 pound counterweight, capable of throwing watermelons, pumpkins, and gallon jugs up to 200 feet.
The first shot is a water jug — the reason he says "shorter" is because they were comparing to a shot from earlier in the day. The second shot is a pumpkin.
