Replica of a Baird Televisor from 1930. Dean Martin singing Babyface.
This is a test with 2 lenses in the scanning gate to give a larger image. It also nearly doubles the price of the entire Televisor.
My newly developed Baird-ESP32 camera used as signal source. Picture aspect 3:6, 32 lines, 16 pictures/sec.
In the Televisor the recieved picture is scanned by a Nipkow disk.
This was filmed through the 2 lenses in front of the Nipkow disk using an older Sony videocam with slow shutter. The 16 pictures/sec. gives som flicker when recording 25 pictures/sec.
I do not own the rights to the excerpt from the Dean Martin show. It is used here only to show the intertainment value of 32-line television.
Subject: Baird Television System, Mechanical Television, Narrow Band Television.
