Zepto has become the first unicorn of the year! It is now valued at $1.4 billion. The company wants to go public in 2025, as per its co-founder Aadit Palicha.
It raised $200 million in a Series E round, mostly from
US-based StepStone Group. Goodwater Capital was among the other investors who participated in the round.
Though it's early to comment, this could potentially establish a precedent for other start-ups to secure investments and transform into unicorns.
