This DIY is so easy! Using a few items from Dollar Tree, you can create these faux barn wood blocks too. The poster stickers DT has been carrying are the perfect size for these blocks.... or you could use stencils. If you put letters on all four sides you will be able to see them when displayed so be mindful of that. I chose to put a word on the front of the block and the back. But if you position the letters with one word on the front, give one turn and put the letters on the next side of the dice you can make sure you always have a clear top and back and ends so that they can be displayed anywhere. That would give the appearance of having complete different sets of blocks for each word you choose to display. I hope it makes sense the way I am explaining it :)
The paint does take a little time to dry between coats. I would wait about 15 minutes , that seemed to work best for me. I didn't put mod podge on them to seal them because I only had glossy. I didn't want them to have a shine. I did use a little to seal the letters though. I wanted the other sides to have a matte , aged look. If you have Matte Mod Podge you can seal the whole block, though it really isn't necessary.
