Here I argue against some of the core premises of the so-called "Philosophy of Liberty," by International Society for Individual Liberty (ISIL) Director Ken Schoolland (from his book, "The Adventures of Jonathan Gullible").
Space is limited, so I wasn't able to expand on my thoughts here; perhaps I'll do so elsewhere and link to it here at a later date.
I was once a fan of this video, until I thought about it more seriously. While not hopelessly flawed, this "philosophy" has some gaping holes that its intended audience is unlikely to detect. (The book is aimed at children and teens; juicy targets for indoctrination by market-evangelists and tax-protester propagandists.)
The author clearly believes in a system of absolutes, which, unfortunately for him, just ain't so. Ironically, this pegs him as a kind of conservative authoritarian -- an anti-libertarian -- who derives his worldview from a set of first-principles that George Lakoff would classify as a "strict father" morality. Sadly, this is true of right-libertarians almost by definition; despite their outwardly liberal inclinations, they begin at a different point from left-libertarians, who adhere to a "nurturant parent" morality.
