Many F18 Hornet pilots don't know much about this switch. They see the words SPIN RECOVERY, and think "not me" and that's the end of it....
For EVERYONE else:
The FA-18C in DCS has a guarded cover button labelled "Spin Recovery" that allows for some crazy moves and fun times, and with a little bit of practice, you can rule the roost on any aerobatic display server... Possibly snag a kill in a guns fight over on dogfight server, but hey, I didn't say that.
The FCS on the Hornet is there to help make the F18 (fly-by-wire) easy and safe to fly. It does this very well, but comes at a price. That price limits the pilot from having full authority over the flight controls, unless s/he overrides those controls using the spin recovery switch. Put in another way, as far as DCS world is concerned, this is the magic aerobatic switch. Deadly in PvP - for the other guy, or you, depending on how well you use it.
Also some respect to ED who came back after my last video with a dedicated video all about the Apache delays. This is exactly what we asked for, so much appreciated and good going there.
