Singapore residents could soon pass through immigration checkpoints without the need to present their passports. Instead, clearance will be done via iris and facial biometrics verification. Over 5,000 officers will be trained by end-2023 in areas like profiling, investigation, and interviewing skills to identify suspicious travellers.
