First step is to turn on your controller, connect it to your device and turn on your drone. Open the DJI GO App. Once you have a connection, click the top right hand corner to go settings and scroll down and look for advance settings and click it. Look for “Multiple Flight Mode” and enable it.
To access this mode, the drone must be in the air. You need to move the top right switch of your Phantom 3 Standard controller all the way down and you will see an icon on the left hand side of your device that shows that the multiple flight mode is enabled.
Click the icon that appears directly to the left, now all you have to do is pick the Intelligent Flight Mode that suits your purpose.
Follow Me
Drone will follow (you) your GPS signal (Must have a strong wireless signal on your device for this to work properly). This is a good feature especially if you are doing an activity and wants an automated eye in the sky recording you.
Course Lock
Fly in a straight line no matter what the direction / orientation the drone is facing. This allows for some unique shooting opportunities with a lot of camera mobility.
Home Lock
I hardly used this feature however what it does is that when you pull the right stick towards you, the drone will come back to you no matter where it is or what direction it’s facing. Kind of like hub on a wheel and your drone revolves around you.
Point Of Interest
You choose a location or a particular object and the drone will orbit around it while keeping the camera pointed at it at all times.
Waypoints
This is my favourite feature! You fly to a location point, and press a button on your controller to set the point. You then fly to the next point, and press then button again to set a 2nd, then 3rd.. point, etc. The drone will then fly between the points at a speed of your choosing. It works very well and leaves you focusing on the shots you want by adjusting the gimbal and not worrying about flying!
