I've been wanting to do this for years!! My boat (16ft 1980 Sears Sea Nymph) needed a casting deck. I was going to do what everyone else does and make it out of wood, then I figured out how I could build it with aluminum framing, aluminum rivets, and a sheet of PVC. It was actually super easy. I've had it out on the water multiple trips. I've had 2 people casting on the deck at the same time and it has passed with flying colors. Stop waiting and just go for it!
