Discover Laos. We are on the road to Vangvieng again and what an eventful trip that was. Along the way we come across a Lao Village boat racing festival and immediately stop to check it out! What an amazing event. You don't see things like this just being a normal tourist. The whole village really made us feel welcome and wanted us to join in on the festival. It was perfect timing also as the boat racing was just underway. My mother even showed them that she is still rockin at 70, tearing up the dance floor with the local ladies. The old girl still has a lot of life left in her!!
Thinking i might continue with the 'Discover Laos' theme whenever we find new and interesting parts of Laos not many other people get to see. It was an incredible experience to witness this festival, as it, by all accounts is a Lao village that does not see many travellers stop, even though it is on the road to Vangvieng.
