2024 Iditarod, bird’s eye view. This is one of my favorite places in Downtown Anchorage to see the Iditarod Sled Dog teams take off! This year, there are 38 teams taking off at 2 minute intervals. That gives you plenty of time to try out a few different viewpoints to get the best pictures of these impressive canine (and human) athletes! We explain a few of the race rules while we are waiting for a few mushers to get their turn at the start lone.
