The Flash was a historic disaster of a production, and stands to be one of WB's all-time biggest losses. This film was shouldered with rebooting a franchise, while also paying homage to everything that is being left behind. Mix the audience's loss of interest in franchise blockbusters, comic book movies, the DCEU, and Ezra Miller - and it really felt doomed to fail.
