“ThrowBack Louisville” focuses on the Southern Exposition, the celebrated Louisville-based cultural event which was opened on August 1, 1883, by then-President Chester Arthur and continued on through 1887. Visitors to the exposition could enjoy concerts, lectures, theatrical performances and weekly fireworks displays.
