It’s a Celtics three-peat! Tonight Roanoke Catholic captured our third consecutive VISAA Div. III state title with a 61-8 victory over the Fuqua Falcons.
This marks the fifth straight state championship game played by our seniors dating to their 8th grade year when the Celtics began their stellar run under Coach Bob Price by beating Fuqua 24-20 for the 2014 title. Since then, RCS has amassed a 41-3 record and ends this season riding a 31-game winning streak that included a victory Oct. 19 over North Cross, which plays Saturday for the Div. II state championship.
