Two regions in southeast Turkey, the Şanlıurfa and Adiyaman provinces, were hit by flash flooding that killed at least 10 people on Wednesday after torrential rains fell on the previously earthquake-ravaged areas.
Floodwaters carried away cars and debris and left the basement and ground floors of buildings submerged.
Search and rescue efforts are underway for the missing and those trapped in their buildings, with divers and boats searching through floodwaters.
It's the latest devastation the regions have faced, after both were among the areas hit by the deadly earthquakes in February that left more than 48,000 people dead and millions homeless.
