Religious Policy of Aurangzeb is one of the most Controversial topics from Medieval Indian History. Aurangzeb became the emperor after he won the war of succession and after imprisoning his father Shah Jahan. His religious Policy is a matter of debate but we generally believe that he was a bigot and orthodox muslim who reversed the liberal religious policy of Akbar. It was his Religious Policy along with his Deccan Policy which proved fatal for the Mughal Empire.
