Smiling people tore down posters of kidnapped Israeli people in London’s Leicester Square, footage posted on Tuesday, 24 October shows.
Footage posted on X/Twitter by Richard Ferrer, editor of Jewish News, shows a person smiling to the camera after ripping down a poster from the wall.
Another person can be heard in the clip saying “I do love humans” when a bystander accuses her of not caring about “human life”.
Mr Ferrer said the incident occurred on Tuesday evening.
“We know many people will find this behaviour upsetting. There is no place in London for hate. Extra officers are on patrol in this area to provide reassurance,” the Metropolitan Police said.
