The GCC currently has six member states: Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates.
If they were to merge into a single state, it would be the tenth largest country in the world with an area of around 2.6 million square kilometers, surpassing Algeria but behind Kazakhstan. Population-wise, it is about the same size as Thailand, with about 65 million people. With a GDP of USD 2.25 trillion, it would be the world's eighth-largest economy, ahead of Canada but behind France.
What would make this union truly astonishing is the control it would have over natural resources: the country would control over 30% of the world's oil reserves and about 21% of natural gas reserves. And this union is not as unlikely as you might think. Saudi Arabia had already advocated a similar approach in 2011 during the Arab Spring protests.
