Angelina Jolie was a guest on the Today show on Monday. And in the audience was a very special attendee: her daughter Vivienne Jolie Pitt 15. The teenager was watching her Oscar-winning mom as she plugged the musical they have been working on together. Angelina and Vivienne are the minds behind the new incarnation of The Outsiders, a musical version of the 1980s film starring Tom Cruise and Patrick Swayze that was based on a book. Vivienne smiled like a proud daughter as her mom talked away on the outdoor set called the Today Plaza about how their play is all about family. Jolie shared Vivienne connected to The Outsiders and suggested that they work on a stage version of their own. You mentioned your daughter Vivienne. She’s here today too. She’s working along with the cast but she turned you onto this. Tell us how this came to be, Hoda Kotb asked Jolie. That is when the camera zeroed in on Vivienne in the audience.
