(19 Mar 2019) The foreign ministers of China and Pakistan held talks in Beijing on Tuesday.
At the start of their meeting, Wang Yi condemned Friday's attack on two mosques in New Zealand that left 50 dead, including nine Pakistanis.
Wang also said China and Pakistan were working on promoting the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, a major economic and infrastructure initiative funded by China in Pakistan.
Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said his country was grateful for the economic support.
Qureshi is on a three day visit to China to discuss economic ties and regional cooperation.
China is a major ally of Pakistan and the two sides often refer to each other as "iron brothers".
