That an iconic star of music loved the show and wanted to have their music played in the series? The music in Peaky Blinders is usually associated with the Australian rock star Nick Cave, whose song “Red Right Hand” soundtracks the opening credit sequence. But another seminal star of rock and roll, a certain David Bowie, professed to being a huge fan of the hit BBC series. He even went as far as to grant permission for music from his final album, before he tragically passed away, to be used in the show. Creator of Peaky Blinders, Steven Knight, said “I got in touch with his (Bowie’s) people, who came back straight away and said he was a big, big fan.”
