A sprawling country estate built for the founder of Lazydays RV is listed for sale at $22 million.
Smith & Associates Real Estate, which is representing Lazydays founder and former CEO Don Wallace and his wife, Erika, said Friday that the home, known as The Oaks, is among the largest single-family residences in Hillsborough County.
It is four stories, 36,361 square feet and has eight bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, 16 half bathrooms and elevator access to all levels. There's a seven-car garage on the property, as well as a two-story guesthouse, pool house, and a six-bay horse stable and barn. It sits on more than 21 acres, with a quarter-mile of frontage on Lake Thonotosassa.
The home's facade was crafted from Texas limestone. The property is home to 600 trees, including almost 400 mature live oaks and 21 imported Italian Cypress trees. There's also a racetrack, walking trail and a workshop.
“The Oaks is an architectural masterpiece of epic proportions, and achieves the rare ability for a home of this size to feel warm, intimate and inviting,” Mary Pond, listing agent for the Pond Gunning team at Smith & Associates, said in a statement.
The house took four years to build, Smith & Associates said. Cooper Johnson Smith Architects designed it, and it was built by Alvarez Homes.
