We have become aware of a small batch of products that may have a possible buckle failure hazard that poses a potential safety hazard. Your safety is our number one priority; please follow these steps to determine if this issue affects your Poco AG Series pack.
The issue is limited to the tension locks located at the end of the harness straps. We want to make sure that the anchor bar that the webbing wraps around is fully intact and solid. Please note that you will need to check both the left and right harness straps to ensure proper function.
1. Grab the tension lock and slide the webbing to one corner of the buckle.
2. Rotate the buckle until you can see 2 of the 3 indentations on the back side of the buckle anchor bar.
3. Make sure there are NO cuts or cracks in the plastic anchor bar.
4. Slide the bar back into the webbing sleeve.
5. Grab the tension lock and slide the webbing to the opposite corner of the buckle.
6. Rotate the buckle until you can see 2 of the 3 indentations on the back side of the buckle anchor bar.
a. You should have already seen 2 of these indentations when you rotated the tension lock in the opposite direction.
b. Now, we can be sure that we’ve checked the entire anchor bar.
7. Remember, repeat these steps to check the other harness strap, regardless of what you find on the first harness strap you check.
If one or both of the tension locks on the harness straps are compromised, or if you have any questions about the inspection process, please contact the Poco Inspection Team immediately at 1-800-303-1350, or by email at pocosupport@ospreypacks.com.
