For those who might not know, I've had the honor of being able to help out with the restoration of EL 3372, the last remaining U34CH in the country and quite possibly the world. Since we started this past winter, it took countless hours of monotonous work, but this past weekend made it all worth it. Originally we had planned a night shoot on Saturday, but the weather forced us to cancel. Fortunately we were able to get by with a scaled-down Museum for a Day on Sunday, which included the first public unveiling of the 3372 as well as the 4101 which NJT had donated for the weekend After the event when most of the public had left, we had our own night shoot. We built up enough air in the U-boat and put in some makeshift headlights, and the 4101 was also fired up and its lights were put on for the shoot. Towards the end, we had guys in both cabs blowing the horns, both sporting a Leslie SU3L. Overall a truly surreal experience, and I can't wait to get the 3372 running under its own power again.
Enjoy!
