less and less wonders are left in our world

mankind's fall, inevitable - could it yet be prolonged
so many a word was wasted on the obvious
a prospect of improvement, another be followed thereafter

we fight for our selfish endeavor to heal a world
as our very own future is at stake
only by sustainable ideas without exception
or we are very likely meeting our demise

euphemistic in comparison just a downplay of many
by the optimistic thieves of resolution
of reactionists and pre-emptivists
in reluctance to murder of our kind
yet without a solution to the bane of our life
will the climate crisis eventually thaw our hearts
when we take a step aside to watch the world burn
yet we are finding another excuse to do nothing
and we still rejoice in endzeitgeist
reaching out to one another in a last protest
although we might not know the right thing to do
we should at least try
