Description. Learn first hand from 25 year freeride mountainbiker Tony Caruso of the Bike Stop Cafe & Outpost how to set your mountain bike up right, how to train for cardio and gain bike handling skills for fun and safe riding.
Session Description:
Learn how to set up handlebars, controls, seat position, pedals, suspension, tire choice and pressure.
How to tune and maintain your bike on the fly.
How to train and build strength and cardio
Body positioning basics and off road survival skills
MTB shifting and braking
Balance and bike handling
Weather permitting, on the bike urban skills training
Trail conditions permitting, beginner trail ride
Requirements and disclaimers
Bring your bike for the set-up and tuning sections (you will tune your own bike) A limited number of loaner bikes are available on a reservation basis.
Please do not bring department store mountain bikes, as they are not intended for off road use
Bring your riding gear
Mountain biking is inherently dangerous and can result in severe injury, exhaustion, or even death.
It should not be attempted by individuals who have health concerns or balance related issues.
Never ride beyond your skill level and as always, ride at your own risk.
A liability waiver will need to be signed by every participant
