In this GRE Vocab Wednesday video, Chris Lele from Magoosh goes over four "words of the day" from Dictionary.com. The first word is "brevity." After learning this word, you'll understand the meaning of Shakespeare's famous quote on humor: "brevity is the soul of wit." Chris then explains "saturnine," which means "slow, dark and gloomy." If it occurs to you that a person living on Saturn would have a saturnine life, you should know that this word has nothing to do with Saturn! Next, Chris goes over "commodious" (which means large and roomy), and finishes up with "intransigent" (which means unwilling to change one's views).
